Winter ContestIt's been a while since we've held a contest and what better time host one than winter.  You can probably already guess that yes, this will be themed for the season.
Rules
Only members of #GiveALlamaGetALlama can participate in our contests.  This means no non-members, watchers, or affiliates can submit and entry or win.
The entry must be dated from the start date of the contest (12/5/12), meaning you cannot submit a deviation that happens to fit the contest theme.

Contest Rules

  1. Only members of ARTISTICANIMANGA may participate.  No watchers, affiliates, or non-members may participate.

  2. All contest entries must be made specifically for this contest.  This means you cannot submit a deviation that was made before this contest was announced.  Your entry must be dated on or after the start date of the contest (December 30th, 2012).

  3. You can submit a maximum of two (2) entries, but you can only win once.

  4. All contest entries must have the group icon in the artist's comment area.

  5. In the artist comments, you must give this group, ARTISTICANIMANGA, permission to edit, manipulate, alter, use (basically we need written permission so that we, the group staff, can actually use your entry as a mascot if it is selected.)  You can add the stipulation that your entry must win in order for us to have this sort of access to your work as well as can only be used for group purposes.  Here is a generic permission statement you can use:
    "I, __(your dA username)__, give ARTISTICANIMANGA (artisticanimanga.deviantart.com) permission to manipulate, alter, edit, and use my deviation __(title of deviation)__ for their group purposes.  This includes group tutorial deviation previews, posting this deviation on their blog, logos, group avatar/icon, and other other such uses for their group.  I will only allow ARTISTICANIMANGA (artisticanimanga.deviantart.com) this permission if my entry, __(title of deviation)__, is chosen to be the group's new mascot.  This contest entry may not be used for any other purposes."

  6. Please only use minimal watermarks.   Please do not splatter text all over your entry, it takes away from the quality of the work.  Minimal watermarks means something very small that does not affect the work.

  7. All contest entry backgrounds need to be white or transparent.

  8. Your entry cannot break our group rules.  This include our list of what our group finds not acceptable.

  9. Collaborations are perfectly acceptable.  Just make sure you have the collaborated work in your own gallery otherwise it may get declined under the assumption it is not your work.  How the prizes are split between you and friend must be decided by you.

  10. For your contest entry to be acceptable as an entry, it must follow the contest theme.

  11. All contest entries must be submitted into the Favorites folder labeled "Mascot Contest 2013".  This is to give everyone a chance at submitting their entry as well as keeping the group galleries rules of standards in place.

  12. You can submit your contest entry to the group galleries.  However, they will be subjected to our standards of quality control.

  13. The winners will be submitted into the contest gallery when voting is complete.  So if your entry is selected as a winner, please accept the group's request.

I entered but just wanted to make sure I did it right - would I just use the "suggest as a fav" option to submit since its a feature folder?

i have a question o.o in the explanation it says everyone is allowed to make two entries but below that it says i can only choose one theme. Does this mean that if i wish to make two entries i have to make them both manipura (for example)? i'm a bit confused x.x;

It only means one theme per entry, so that you don't throw all seven chakras into one character.
